My most miserable times in this business came when I stopped committing to my own learning.
Times when I thought I knew enough to just write for clients without continuing to grow as a copywriter.
Over the 8+ years I've been kickin' around, I spent 2 years like this.
Those 2 years were spent stalling... feeling like I wasn't progressing... fighting for every project... and never really building any kind of momentum in my business.
The truth was, I was a tight-ass.
I didn't want to spend my money on myself because I thought I was good enough (I wasn't).
Thankfully, I caught myself and re-committed to mastering the craft (which, btw, is a never-ending process).
And in fact, looking back...
I can measure my growth & success by looking at the times I invested in myself.
