Conversion Confidential #2: Another Chameleon, pressing the advantage in your copy and the ONE change that can boost conversions by up to 10%.
We’ve reached that time when you reflect back on everything that’s happened over the past 12 months and ask yourself “was it a good year?”
For me, it was.
I started 2021 by launching an offer with my partners called Divine Locks.
And to say I learnt a great deal is an understatement…
Yes, I still believe that copy is the most important part of any direct response business. Without copy you can’t make sales.
But without all the other stuff? You won’t be making many sales for very long.
Fast-forward to today and Divine Locks is still running strong. We’re selling on networks consistently and I’m excited for its future.
After we launched Divine Locks, I wrote my second offer. This offer will launch sometime in January 2022. It’s for the male hair market.
Throughout the year, my advanced mentoring group has seen success after success including…
A golf funnel converting at 4-5% (the best performing funnel in the company’s roster)…
Beating the keystone control for one of the biggest health companies around…
Creating ad hooks for an 8-figure company that boosted ROAS dramatically (can’t remember the specific numbers)…
Writing control after control in YT ads for niches like horse training, polyamory and more…
Creating a financial control (against all conventional wisdom) that’s scaling nicely on cold traffic…
And so much more.
But frankly, some of our biggest wins have come from working on the “mental game” of this business. People have freed up more time, found more fulfilment and generally just improved their quality of life (while doubling their income, if I may add).
Towards the end of the year I launched Conversion Confidential and Your Conversion Partners (YCP).
With YCP, we’ve already worked on three weight loss promotions and a financial project. All of this copy is expected to go live in January (or Feb at the latest). And I’m super excited to get the data back in.
We’ve also expanded the YCP team…
Put systems in place so 99% of our energy is focused on delivering results for the clients…
Built a culture of high performance without sacrificing our time, health or loved ones…
And begun booking out projects in 2022.
More than this, I see YCP as a new model for a “copy shop”. Because the way we structure our deals — and the way we operate — means that the client is supported after the work is delivered.
The end result? Every promotion/funnel we write has the highest chance of generating the most money over the longest term. Bit of a mouthful, I know.
So yes, a good year all told.
To say I’m giddy wouldn’t be doing it justice.
Now let’s talk about Conversion Confidential #2…
I want you to imagine you’re taking a ride with Santa on his sleigh…
Pulled along by Rudolph and the gang…
Our first stop today is “pressing the advantage”.
Here you’ll receive a gift (as well as cookies and milk) that shows you how to increase the impact of your copy. The more impact you have, the better your conversions. This is medium-high level copy stuff. And worth paying attention to.
Once we’re back on the sleigh, we’ll fly through the night to visit our next Chameleon.
If you’re unfamiliar, Chameleon’s are good writing disguising themselves as good copy. There’s a difference — and the difference can make or break your promotion. This one in particular is hidden in story. So if you’re a business owner who regularly pays for story-based copy… you can’t afford to miss this one.
Finally, with the sun rising on Christmas morning, we’ll make our final stop of the year; how simple emotive changes can take your copy from good to GREAT.
Whether you’re a biz owner or copywriter… wouldn’t it be nice to change ONE WORD and see a 5-10% bump in conversion? Yeah, it would. So make sure you stay with Santa and me on our journey to find out what this stupid-simple change is.
Enjoy!
